Fluency

Fluency can be defined as....

“reasonably accurate reading, at an appropriate rate, with suitable expression, that leads to accurate and deep comprehension and motivation to read.”

They have programs for students in K-12, and resources for parents, education professionals, and the community." The clinic developed a parent resource series called, Raising Readers, which has short, yet informative and helpful tools for parents.

What can I do at home?

Choral reading

Your child will read with another child, or an adult at the same time, in unison. The child must be able to see the text, or have their own copy to read from.
